I enrolled in the Level 3 NCFE Sports qualification in Football during 2020 and thrived from this course.
The support through remote learning was thorough, with regular online interaction to check up on my progress. Even though a lot changed with the pandemic, the help from my teachers meant I could still achieve my full potential.
Many opportunities arose from this course.
My programme extended to other responsibilities, such as hosting girl’s kick-about sessions at local schools, completing work experience at Whitley Park primary school and becoming an AOC Activator. By obtaining my FA Level 1 coaching badge, I have gained confidence that has aided teaching skills in the independent classes I led.
Regular football training on the course complimented my development.
Training sessions occurred two or three times a week during the course, these sessions have helped improve my play! It was beneficial to have practical exercise and theory combined to expand my understanding of the sport.
Opportunities have continued beyond my course!
This year, I have continued my Activator role and visited Villa Park in Birmingham to connect with a network of football representatives and associates all over the country.
Overall, the Level 3 course has strengthened my abilities and opened opportunities I never thought I had.
