On the Foundation Catering Pathway, you will learn through project-based and practical activities, with assessment taking place continuously rather than through formal exams. Projects are designed around realistic kitchen and hospitality scenarios, helping you build confidence, practical skills and industry awareness in a supportive environment.
Alongside your catering studies, you will work towards improving your English, maths and IT skills, which are essential for success in further study and employment.
You will be supported by experienced staff throughout the programme and will receive advice and guidance to help you plan your next steps, whether that is progressing within the college, moving on to an apprenticeship or entering employment.
We work in partnership with external organisations and employers to ensure learning and project work reflect the skills, behaviours and expectations of the catering and hospitality industry.
