The VTCT Level 2 Certification in Nail Technology is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed nail technician and a highly regarded qualification.
You will develop all the skills and knowledge needed to offer outstanding treatments, gain employment within the industry or manage/start your own business. You will master technical skills, including manicures and pedicures, nail art, e-file, and nail enhancement using UV Gels.
Once fully completed, this qualification will allow you to obtain insurance and provide you with the confidence to work independently within the industry.

Models: You must have your own models for the practical assessments.
At all other times during your study, you will be expected to practise on peers within your group and/or on a practice hand.
Progression
The VTCT Level 2 Certification in Nail Technology is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed nail technician. This qualification is well-regarded in the industry.
You could progress to a number of different courses: Level 3 Diploma in nail technology, Beauty Therapy, Media Make-up and Hairdressing. Alternatively, you could gain employment within the industry or choose self-employment, starting your own business.
Entry requirements
You should have a minimum of grade 3 in GCSE English Language. Learners without prior grades will need to attend an interview with the course tutor before enrolling.
You will need to purchase a full Nail Technology Kit (recommended for practising at home) and an Activate Learning uniform.
Basic tools, products and kits can be supplied for on-campus use.
